Using small class sizes, highly-qualified instructors, and professional guest artist mentors, the school seeks to enlighten and inform, challenge and develop young adults as they prepare for post-secondary education.

As the only such school in Lanark County to offer an International Baccalaureate designed and a proposed Ontario Ministry of Education program, the school provides fulltime courses for students in grades 7 through 12, which upon inspection, approval, and subsequent accreditation by the Ministry, would culminate in an official Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

I am just writing to you to give thanks for everything you have done for me. Where do I begin? When I first came to your school I was going into grade six. I was a shy, quiet, bullied, sit at the back of the class and keep to myself kind of kid. I lacked confidence, and had a very low self esteem. I really didn't want to attend a new school. I met so many nice kids and teachers, and made a ton of friends.  I've always had nothing but wonderful things to say about Mississippi  School. I am so pleased I got to attend at least one year there. You, as well as my classmates and other teachers taught me to speak my mind, stand up for who I am, be who I want to be, and most importantly, you built up my confidence. I believe I truly have your school to thank for where I am today. It made going back into the public system easier. I stood up to bullies. I wasn't afraid anymore. Everyday that I face a new challenge, I think back to sixth grade and think to myself "I can do this".

After some research I realized that Carleton Place had a private school that catered to student's needs. Instantly, my daughter felt like she fit in, she received more one on one instruction and subsequently her grades rapidly improved and a love for writing was fostered. Her artistic side was fed through the art program. Mississippi School changed my daughter's life, she has confidence and knows she can handle any scholastic challenge.
